Daniel's Story

At dinner tonight, Daniel starts telling this story. Not a standard 3 year old story. One with a beginning, middle, and end. One with a climax. Not much of a plot.. but very well thought out story for a 3 year old. It even began with a once upon a time! Nice Job Daniel. I think the funniest part is the constant hand motions!

It is kind of long... but the end is the best!

Pumpkin Pie

James was having some pumpkin pie and got up to get his pajamas on. Leave any food around and it is sure to be spied by Sophia! Sophia eats anything and everything she finds. She loves to climb up and share whatever anyone is eating.
James left his pie unattended, Sophia helped herself!. What a funny girl! What a messy girl!

Pumpkin pie with lots of whipped cream!

The fork was taking too long!
Hands are much quicker!(and messier)

Thanksgiving 2008

On Thanksgiving morning Sterling had a job to do. He needed to build our new swing set. He have a fabulous park, but it has no swings. James loves to swing, so we got our very own swing set. James has been asking for a swing set for at least 2 years and we finally did it. So, since Thanksgiving morning is the first chance Sterling has had in a long time to spend time with the family, James and Sterling set off to build the swing set!

As soon as anything was assembled, the kids were on it. Piece by piece they went from one thing to another. It was pretty funny. I was in the house trying to make things for dinner and they were outside building. Sophia would just go back and forth. She was very excited too!

Thanksgiving Dinner with the Keith Family.
It was my first time ever making Thanksgiving Dinner. We ate a little later than planned but everything worked out pretty well.
Thanks Dad and Mimi and Tina for all your support and recipes!

The adults still needed to wait, we ate way too much for dinner!

Crazy Packer Boys Band!

The boys were really wound up today. Sterling had to work all day and it was raining so we were pretty much confined inside. Sophia had spilled her cereal all over the kitchen floor and it was sticky so I was sweeping and moping (which I usually do on weekdays, during nap time). So everything was on the rug in the front room and the boys had to stay on the rug too! So they thought it was a great opertunity to turn it into a serious druming session!

It was pretty funny! Daniel wasn't singing, just throwing out songs for James to sing and then telling him which animals to do in Old McDonald's Farm. Daniel is usually the mastermind behind things. He's a pretty funny kid! They were both having a lot of fun being crazy drumers! They can be really good friends!

Waikiki Aquarium

On Wednesday, we went to the Aquarium. James didn't have school, yet again, and we thought we should find something fun to do with our day! So the Aquarium it is! The whole time Daniel kept asking where the Whale Shark was. When we were in Georgia, we went to the Atlanta aquarium, which happens to be the biggest aquarium in the world, and they had a humungous tank with among other things a Whale Shark. Let just say, after being at that aquarium, the Waikiki Aquarium has a lot of learning to do! Daniel still loved the colorful fish and being able to run around. Some things don't change!

He loved this aquarium. Lots of bright colors and a fish that "keeps looking at me!"

Daniel was very brave and held the hermit crab. Daniel says he is "very tickely!"

James was brave enough to hold it, after Daniel was brave enough to hold it!

We had lots of fun!

This was James' favorite fish. I don't remember it's name, but it is an ocean preditor. James likes all the preditors.

Daniel loved this globe tank with the Jelly Fish in it. He kept saying he was touching them! You can't see the Jelly fish very well at this angle, but when I moved to the side you could see them a little better. Jelly fish are so pretty!

We bought an annual pass.. and I am sure we will get our moneys worth, even if it only took an hour to go through the whole thing! The kids had a good time!
