PCC with Papa

December 11, 2010
We love the Polynesian Cultural Center (PCC) and so whenever someone comes to visit we always take them there!

This is also Helena's first visit to the PCC. I am sure she will remember it always!

These kids on the other hand, probably will remember it always!

This is the whole group right before dinner.

We look a bit fresher and ready for the day here. This is just as we entered the villages.

We love this family so much!
We were so excited that they came to visit us!

We had so much fun! I made everyone try all the games we could find. It was fun to see all the kids trying to get a hang of the Poi Balls. Blake was actually pretty good at it. Papa made it the farthest though, he could almost do the 2 in hand swing trick. What a tricky Papa!

I love this game! The kids had a good time playing the stick game.

Papa and Ellie decided to sit out for the stick game so they got to hold Laynie!

Sophia and Sarah showing their matching 'tattoo'.

The boys were working pretty hard at making fire. In Samoa this is a boys job. The boys thought it was pretty great. Sterling came the closest to actually making fire, he just needed a dry husk to get it to ignite.

Gabe had seen it done and was sure he could do it too!

Here is another stick game that the kids played. Here they are getting the instructions.

Here they are doing their best to keep up with the calls as the caller tells them which way to step. It was pretty tough once he got going fast. Sophia had a great time swinging like a monkey as Sterling carried/swung her from square to square.

Here is a bird eye view of the family watching the canoe pageant.

Colton loved his 'tattoo', his represented the KING!

In each of the villages you can sit and they will tell you interesting facts about each of the nations as well as teach you some chant or custom. Here we learned to sing and play with the bamboo sticks.

It was tough to get a good picture because the lighting was pretty weak but this is all of us at our "Luau". We had a great time!

Last but not least..... What Papa came all this way for!
To hold his Laynie!
