Helena 8 Months!

Helena is 8 Months old

(January 31, 2011)

She wears size 3 diapers, size 6-9 month clothes, and is 16 lbs.

She loves her bottle and baby rice, still not too excited about other baby foods yet.

Helena is only happy if she is on her tummy. She doesn't like to be on her back at all, not in the car seat, not changing diapers, not in the bath tub, nothing! She is happy as a clam on her tummy and ready to go!

She also thinks she is very funny! She is a very smiley baby, doesn't laugh or chatter much but a super fun baby!

She loved the puppy's eyes this month. The puppy is still huge compared to her but she is starting to like him more!

Helena can sit on her own...

And is very excited about it!

She loves books, isn't very good at letting us read them to her yet. She wants to turn the pages, or not turn the pages at her own will. She gets pretty mad if you turn the pages or try to control the book at any speed other than her own.

She loves getting into things that she isn't supposed to. She loves the cards with pictures of animals on them, it is a matching/reading game, but she loves to steal them from Daniel.

She can scoot around on her tummy. She does a strange Army crawl with the right leg pushing and the left arm pulling and not much help from the other limbs. It works for her! Laynie is a great baby. She is working with H-KISS for habilitation and getting better use of her limbs and things. She seems to like when they work with her.

I can't believe it has already been 8 months!
