Marine Mud Challenge!

Today Ashley, Sylwia, Erika, and I were in the Marine Mud Challenge on Ft. Gordon! It was fabulous! We had so much fun and I really feel a sense of accomplishment for having completed it and not coming in dead last! I had to walk most of the course, but I completed every obstacle. I forgot my camera and couldn't have taken it through with me if I had had it. Ashley's daughter Sydney took some pictures and will get them to us, so as soon as I get them I will post some of them.
There were about 16 obstacles that ranged from low crawling in mud to getting up and over a 13 foot bar with lots of logs and walls and other things as well. We worked as a team to get everyone over the walls and over the logs and things. There were several monsterish hills and mud pits to go through. We were really gross by the time we finished, but it was all worth it! It was 4.6 miles. It took our team 1 hour and 46 minutes to complete. I would love to do it again... in a few days when my legs are rested and no longer bruised! I would recommend to anyone to find a Mud Challenge in your area and do it! You don't have to be in the best shape to do it, you just need a good team! It was so awesome!
There are no pictures of this but the funniest part of the whole thing was my friend Sylwia doing the back float through one of the mud pits. It was hillarious. We were supposed to be doing the low crawl through this mud pit, but it was hot and the water in the mud pit was pretty cool so she dove right in. She was washing her face in the nasty muddy water and just enjoying herself. It was hillarious! We had so much fun!
