We had a really fun "mini-vacation". We had to go to Atlanta to send our truck to Hawaii and our dog Lady to the Airport to fly to my Dad's so we decided to make it fun! We drove to Atlanta on Monday and got a rental car and sent our truck off. Then we went to the hotel for a fun evening of swimming and eating out. It was Sophia's first time going swimming and she loved it! Then on Tuesday we went to the Atlanta Aquarium. Sterling got to stay for a while but then Sterling had to take Lady to the Airport while the kids and I had a great time at the Aquarium. Pictures always say so much more than words can so .... here are some pictures!
The big fish is a Whale Shark! It was really neat. This tank is supposed to be "THE BIGGEST IN THE WORLD". You know.. that saying is everywhere! But maybe, it was pretty impressive!
Sophia was really fascinated with all the big animals in the water! This is her reflection on the plexy-glass with the Baluga Whale.
The biggest aquarium tank had little windows all over on one side then a huge surface with "stadium" seating on the other side. They had a little guide map that you could check out all the different kinds of fish and identify them on the chart. Daniel and James loved trying to see which fish was swimming by and which ones we hadn't found yet. We really had a great time!
