Dress up!

Sophia wanted to put on costumes today. Usually she doesn't want anything to do with it but today she decided it would be okay. Then she didn't want to take them off! She got these costumes in April and today was the first day she has had them on. She was so cute! I couldn't help but post them so you could all see my sweet not so baby girl!

Eating m&m's..... her other favorite thing!

This picture is my favorite!..

I wish she could stay this litte for a long time!

W A T E R !!!

It has been really hot here lately.. between the vog which causes no trade winds to blow and it being muggy, humid, and nasty, water has been a very common thing the last few days! It is very fun to have neighbors that love the water as much as my boys do. If there is time in the day with just being at home it usually involves getting wet at some point! Here are some pictures of the last week of water!

Eating lunch after a water fight on Memorial Day!
Daniel loves the hose!

Sophia does her best to keep up with the boys!

This was on Wednesday. Cat and I independently of each other went and bought more water things for the yard. I got a little pool and the blue squirting mat and she came home with the slip and slide! It was so hot and the kids were very excited.

It was also Patrick's 1st birthday on Wednesday. He is getting so big. He is in Sophia's little mobile car which is perfect for him outside. He can get around but this way he is easy to see and much less likely to get stepped on.
Sophia decided to get in fully clothed! Oh well..

She is such a cutie!

James always has rules to every game they play. Here he is telling the boys (Thomas and Philip) the rules to the game he made up!

Daniel and Sophia both love the little spray streams that come out of the pool. Sophia likes to drink them, Daniel just likes to be sprayed.

There is Sophia, wetting down her Popsicle.
Yummy!

Holding the Popsicle in one hand and playing in the water with the other!

James and Phia are great pals!

Sophia, Paul, and Philip all taking turns riding down the neighbors
driveway slope on their "wheels".

Then on Friday we went to the pool at the Navy Lodge. Our Friends (Angela, Bobby, and Lucas) are moving and were staying at the lodge so they invited us to come and play for their farewell. All the kids had a blast. Sophia was the only girl with 7 boys!
It was a little crazy but very fun!

Daniel and Paul are brothers that live a house apart. They are with each other EVERY day and ask for each other constantly. Sophia and Paul are betrothed. Sophia has been in love with Paul and Patrick since we moved here. They are her boys!

They were having so much fun jumping off the edge together!

No better way to start the summer!

Father's and Son's Campout

Ho'omaluhia Botanical Garden in Kaneohe

Hiding so well in this very cool tree is my very sneaky Daniel!
Daniel and James posing with the very cool sticks by our fun camping tent!

If there is something to swing on or climb on count Daniel in!

Daniel really wanted to pose with the avacado hanging from the tree!

This is a group of some of the boys from our ward who went
on an afternoon hike/fishing trip together!

This fish doesn't look real, but it was!
James caught 4 fish while at the pond. 3 orange ones (Red Devil fish) and a brown one.
He was so excited! He called me at home to tell me all about it!
James fishing, while Daniel ?
Here is the small brown fish James caught. A very kind old German man came to rescue their group from a day with no fish. He kindly shared his hot dog buns for bait and away they went. After some coaching from the nice old man it was smooth fishing!
4 for James, 0 for Daniel. Daniel just couldn't hold still long enough to catch anything!

James' eyes crack me up on this one.... poor fish.
They let them all go back into the lovely pond, that somehow Sterling didn't get a picture of!

Here is yet another fish.. maybe the same 3 times.. who knows! Pretty impressive!

For some reason Blogger is having a hard time uploading pictures today.. I have several more pictures that I wanted to post, but it wasn't working right.. but I think you got the idea!

Wahiawa Pineapple Run

So, Sterling did it again! He ran the Wahiawa Pineapple Run - 10 K.. He did great! He finished 11th overall and in 3rd for his age group. He ran the race in 42.45 minutes with an average of 6.53 minutes per mile. Nice job Sterling!
I am very proud of him!
