Rain!!!!

It started to rain.. and rain... and rain.. and rain!

The drains couldn't keep up.

The kids were having a good time watching the spiders come up out of the storm drain.

James wanted to catch them and Philip didn't want to touch them.

It flooded over the street and over onto the sidewalks.

Daniel was having so much fun.

James wanted to save all the slugs!

Sophia finally got brave enough to go get into the water, with the rain coat on.

Then Daniel had to come and splash.

Sophia getting brave again as the water starts to drain.

As the rain slowed down and the drains caught up the water started to slowly go away. A neighbor boy came over to announce a new finding... the pond behind the houses.

At one time there were 14 kids playing in the pond. This drain in the middle of the grass couldn't keep up with all the rain either, so why not try to surf in it?

And the drain started to catch up and pond started to shrink.

It was lots of fun while it lasted!
