New Excitement on the Island!

This morning while we were eating breakfast Sterling says, "CHECK THAT OUT!" In the reflection of our sliding glass door he could see the huge ball going between the houses. So we all went outside and walked to the corner where we have a straight shot view into the Harbor and we could see this Mammoth Thing. You can't call it a ship really, we don't think it can even move on it's own, it had a huge tug boat moving it. It was pretty amazing. While we were over by it tonight taking pictures the security guard told us we couldn't take pictures, after I had 50 already. My thinking is, if you can see it from the moon, it isn't too big of a secret that it is parked by my house! You can see it from just about all of Oahu!

Just kidding.. I had to put that on there!
I am a resident.. I have access! (well, kind of!)

Sterling and the kids in front of the "Monster Ball"

This is a huge ball that the Navy has. It is apparently a communications Satalite of some sort that just floats in the ocean, but has come for some repair work for a month or so. It is enormous!

That is it for underneath, just this platform, no ship front or anything.. It does have a huge ancor, but just a huge floating platform. Hopefully I haven't just breached National Securtiy, but it was pretty cool!

This is so you can see, the ship on the left is a regular Navy Ship, about the same size as the Missouri, the Monster Ball completly dwarfs it! You could stack two ships on top of each other and it still wouldn't be as big as the Ball.

And Last but not Least... For Steve.. There is the Utah, next to the Navy ship, next to the Monster Ball!

We love you all.. come and visit us!

Holy cow that is a Monster Ball. I had to laugh when you said "Hopefully I haven't just breached National Securtiy, but it was pretty cool!"

I too think it's super cool. Thanks for the Breach of National Security. Giggles.
